 New to Sierra Music, composer/arranger Jamey Simmons brings a great, new original, "Greasin' the Skids", set to a New Orleans 2nd Line Feel (with momentary switches to a swing feel).  Big Band Gospel. Once again, Patty Darling "nails it." This wonderful and truly very exciting chart, based on a powerful half-time funk feel is, yet again, an amazing chart by this incredible composer. The solo features either (or both) piano or trumpet. As with most of Patty's music, the brass ranges are quite reasonable, making this a very playable chart. 5-4-4-4.
