Gratitude - Patty Darling
Retail Price: $55.00
One of the hottest “Chicken” charts from Les Hooper’s catalogue, Chickenscratch joins the likes of “Poultry Guest” and “Rooster Parade” as a rocking boogaloo. You’ll find this wonderful chart playable by most bands. 5-4-4-4  Here is a very clever and catchy original Latin composition from one of our newer composers, Jamey Simmons. Sierra Music is pleased to present yet another wonderful, contemporary composition by Patty Darling. She has provided us with many publications ranging from our “Easy-to-Play” series to the “Radiohead Jazz Project”. This new piece from Patty is a slow swing in 3/4 with elements of sparsity and transcendence throughout along with an abundance of solo space for flugelhorn that really intensifies this sentiment. “Gratitude” is the perfect contrasting piece for your program to add that element of variety every band and audience needs. (5-4-4-4)

Percussion Ensemble version of this great Metheny tune.

Nimbus - arr. Bob Curnow
Retail Price: $45.00
Bob Curnow took a fresh approach to one of the Yellowjackets' most popular recordings. Russell Ferrante's composition allows for a full-throated arrangement featuring the original feel/style (kind of jazz fusion-ish) and solo space for trumpet and soprano saxophone. 5-4-4-4  A typical, great tune of the Yellowjackets in a very playable arrangement. A Percussion Ensemble version of this wonderful Metheny piece.
