Body and Soul - arr. John Bambridge Body and Soul - John Green / arr. by Marty Paich I Hope In Time A Change Will Come (long v.) - Oliver Nelson / arr. Curnow
This is a remarkable chart that features tenor saxophone throughout.
As recorded by Stan Kenton & His Orchestra on the “7.5 On The Richter Scale” album, this all time great standard receives a fresh sound with the impeccable scoring talent of Marty Paich. This arrangement has it all…….a solo piano introduction, a variety of feels (ballad, rubato, swing, 12/8), and stunning ensemble passages. This chart is considered by many to be one of the finest big band arrangements ever written, and Sierra Music is proud to be able to make it available to you. (5-5-5-4)

This arrangement of "I Hope In Time a Change Will Come" came about through a desire to hear/play more than one chorus of this stunningly beautiful melody by Oliver Nelson.
Lullaby Waltz - Bob Curnow Smith Named Greg, A - Hank Levy Stairway To The Stars - arr. Bill Holman
Lullaby Waltz - Bob Curnow
Retail Price: $55.00
As commissioned (and recorded) by the SWR Big Band of Stuttgart, Germany, this is a lovely, easy-flowing piece that moves from a ballad (lullaby) to a waltz (featuring trombone and alto saxophone) and back again to the ballad.  This is a wonderful feature for baritone saxophone! It was recorded by the Stan Kenton Orchestra on the Kenton '76 CD.  Another terrific feature chart by Bill Holman.
Stella by Starlight - arr. Bill Holman Stella By Starlight - arr. Johnny Richards
A great alto saxophone feature.  This is the bass trombone solo, as recorded (The Kenton Era) by George Roberts with the Stan Kenton Orchestra.
