Across the Sky - Metheny & Mays / arr. Curnow Beat 70 - Metheny & Mays / arr. Bob Curnow Body and Soul - arr. John Bambridge
Bob Curnow has written some marvelous arrangements of Metheny/Mays music in the past, and this chart will surely "tug at your heartstrings.    Bob Curnow provides yet another great arrangement of one of Pat Metheny/Lyle Mays' biggest hits. Originally recorded on their album Letter From Home, "Beat 70" is an exciting up-tempo Latin/fusion tune that will leave your band and audiences humming this catchy melody for the rest of the day! Ranges are mostly modest and rhythmic concerns are minimal. There is solo space for tenor saxophone, trumpet, piano and drums. This chart is a must-have! 5-4-4-4  This is a remarkable chart that features tenor saxophone throughout.

Doodle Oodle - Billy Byers
Retail Price: $55.00
Exactly as recorded on the View From the Side CD, this wonderful chart was written for Pete Christlieb to be featured on tenor saxophone.   In usual Basie fashion, this chart swings its tail off with incredible ensemble passages, and provides for plenty of solo space for both tenor saxophonists to dual it out.  As recorded on the brilliant recording "A Dream Deferred" (Flying Dutchman CYL2-1449), by the Oliver Nelson Orchestra.

Sax Alley - John Bambridge
Retail Price: $55.00
Originally recorded by the North Texas University 2 O'Clock Band, Vern Sielert's arrangement of "Like Someone In Love" is set in an even-eighths Latin feel.  As recorded on the Standards in Silhouette CD, this is yet another of Bill Mathieu's classic arrangements of a great jazz standard ballad.  As recorded by Doc Severinsen and the Tonight Show Band on "Volume One"(Amherst),  this is a red-hot feature for two tenor saxophones (recorded by Pete Christlieb and Ernie Watts).

Swing State - James Miley

Tag Team - arr. Bob Curnow

This is a very hip, slow, 3/4 version, with lush, warm voicings.  James Miley brings us an original, fresh and fun-to-play composition titled "Swing State.  Written for and recorded by the Maynard Ferguson Birdland Dream Band, this chart by Willie Maiden is uncharacteristically easy to play for the band due to very reasonable brass ranges.

This chart is a sensational version of the old standard, all dressed up with a new look only Holman could create.  This is a fast, swing chart that is a feature for tenor saxophone.  Pat Metheny is the master at composing moving, gorgeous ballads, and Too Soon Tomorrow is no exception.
